Hello everyone! I’m EXTREMELY excited and happy to be nominated for this by the lovely Lili over at Lili’s Blissful Pages! (Check out her blog, she’s honestly amazing). It’s an award that people get nominated for, in which you can check out all the rules over at The Global Aussie!

  1. What’s the worst book you ever read?

Already starting off with the hard one! I don’t necessary complete books that I don’t like from the beginning (my DNF pile IS HUGE), but for a book that I strongly disliked (not sure if it’s the worst just yet) would have to be Caraval by Stephanie Garber.

I know a lot of people who love this book, as well as a handful who hate it. I’m definitely leaning more towards hate, especially because this was a book I was so looking forward to! I read the synopsis and was obsessed with the idea of what the book could be, based on the little snippet given to us. For that, it’s 100% my fault, since I hyped it up WAY too much for myself. But at the same time, I felt like the book could have been executed so much better.

I found every single character in the book to be irritating and I felt that they weren’t engaging enough for me to be interested in the story at all. Also the plot and setting of the book was so confusing for me to read, since everything was supposed to be a mystery in the novel. It just wasn’t a good read for me at all.

2. What’s the best book you’ve read?

The Song of Achilles by Madelline Miller, hands down. This always is my answer and will continue to be my answer until I find a book that’s better (which I highly doubt). I have a full review which you can view here, in which I am an actual mess and I cry whilst just reading it!! 🙂

3. What’s your earliest memory?

Hm…this is a hard one. I’m trying to think back and I’m just coming up with a blank wall. I don’t even know, how do you find your earliest memory? The one that comes to mind is when I was 6 years old, and I kicked a soccer ball over the roof of my house and it hit a cars front windshield. (Don’t worry, there was no one inside), but still. I remember being extremely pleased with myself because I never kicked a ball over a freaking roof before, but I got into a shit ton of trouble.

4. Cats or Dogs? Or what pet would you want to own?

I would be fine with either cat or dog, since they’re both so adorable! (I’m kinda leaning more towards a puppy though). Believe it or not, I’ve never had a pet before! And I really want one…

5. What did you want to be when you grew up?

I mean, I still have one more year to decide! (I honestly still don’t know, somebody give me advice!) But when I was younger, I was obsessed with the idea of being a Pediatrician. I swear every single student in my elementary school wanted to be one, but as I grew older I realized how much other peoples opinion affected my own, so I dropped that choice fairly quickly.

6. What’s the best thing you learned or experienced from blogging?

I’d have to say being able to be in a community where I can share my love of books with others who understand! It’s so hard to explain your love for a certain book to people who don’t get your true feelings, but in the book community you can rave all you want and have people join along! It’s the best!

7. If you’re not blogging, what are you doing?

READING. READING. READING. Definitely reading. Or I’m studying for my exams (which happens waaaaay too frequently) or I’m at work.

8. Tea or Coffee

Coffee all the way! (I don’t mind tea though either!) But I definitely prefer coffee because I just love getting all the different kinds of drinks available at Starbucks!

9. What’s your dream holiday?

Probably going to Hawaii and staying there for like 3 weeks. I’ve stayed at a resort before, and it’s honestly SO amazing. I just loved being able to relax and not think about all the overwhelming stress from school.

10. What’s the last record/album you bought?

I don’t really buy albums or anything of that sort anymore, especially since I have Spotify now, (which I’m on 24/7), but the last album I actually bought was Ed Sheeran’s Divide, WHICH IS SO GOOD. I’m still obsessed and it was released last year. Honestly, anything to do with Ed Sheeran is an A+ from me!

And done! This was a lot of fun to do! I feel like I’ve kinda given more personal details about myself, which I don’t normally do (and should start doing more of!)

My questions are:

  1. Has there ever been a book that you DNF’d right away? And which one?
  2. Does the cover of a book strongly influence whether or not you will buy the book?
  3. What is one book that you wish you could reread for the first time?
  4. What book do you wish to be turned into a movie?
  5. What is your current favorite TV show? And why?
  6. How many books have you read so far this year?
  7. Has there ever been a book in which you immediately knew was going to be a favorite?
  8. What has been your favorite read of 2018 so far?
  9. What book trope do you love? And why?
  10. What book would you recommend everyone to read?

I hope those questions are good enough! I made them all book related because I’m tagging my fellow book bloggers!

I can’t wait to see your responses to this, if you decide to do it of course!

Thank you so much for reading! I’ll hopefully have a new book review up soon, if I can read fast enough!
