Hello everyone! Since it’s officially Spring, I thought it would be fun to share my favorite books that I read this past season!
I don’t have a huge amount of books to share, especially since I’m super picky about my ratings for books and what I deem to be a favorite read, but these are my most memorable ones for sure.
fyi: You can click the titles of the books to go to the goodreads page!
This is actually the sequel to Rebel of the Sands, and BOY DID I LOVE THIS BOOK. I enjoyed the first book quite a bit, but the second just completely blew my mind. I loved every single aspect of it, and I rambled away in my review for this book because I’m still too obsessed. Highly recommend this series to you guys if you are looking for a book that has a middle-eastern setting, djinn, and an awesome rebellion. I gave this 5/5 stars!
Another fantastic read! This is probably the most stunning book I’ve ever read, just by the writing and the world itself. Everything is written so beautifully that you can’t help but love the book. One of the main things that I appreciate about this book is that there isn’t a clear villian. Yes, there’s obviously the main point of conflict, but even the people who are seen as the “good guys,” have done some really terrible things, which adds that extra element to the story, of what is too much. Plus our main character in this book is an avid reader and topped with the brilliant writing style, it’s a must read! I gave this 4.5/5 stars!
I feel like I talk about this book way too much, but that’s a good sign right? A piece of advice, go into the book ignoring all the hype, (which is what I did) and I think that’s what made me really love this book. I didn’t have any extreme expectations, and when certain twists and turns did take place in the book, I was so into it.
Something that I love about this book, was the fact that pretty much all the characters are horrible. And I don’t mean throughout the whole course of the book, but literally every single one of them has done something that’s terrible, and to me it really shows how the characters in this book live and how they are treated by others. I gave this 5/5 stars!
This is most definitely my favorite audiobook of all time. If any of you guys are even the slightest bit interested in this book JUST READ IT! You seriously won’t regret it because just the prologue had me completely hooked onto this story. The premise is so interesting that you keep reading because you need to know what happens! I recommend this to everyone who loves sci-fi! I gave it 4/5 stars!
Those are my top favorite reads of Winter, (I warned you that I didn’t have a bunch to share since I’m so indecisive 😂) but I hope I got some of you a bit intrigued into these books, enough to look more into them!
What are some of your favorite Winter reads? And do you agree/disagree with any of mine?
