Hello everyone! I thought it would be a fun idea to share with you guys some of the books that have been on my TBR for AGES, in hopes that it will encourage me to pick them up sooner rather than later!

There are probably a whole lot on here that will shock you too 😂  Just as a side note (so you guys don’t hate me too much 😉) I’m definitely a mood reader, so my interests in certain books switch around very quickly! So I’ve probably started some of these, but I won’t force myself to finish reading it if I don’t feel like it!

THE LOST HERO by Rick Riordan 91vcdxkm3dl

I have tried reading this a bajillion times…but I ALWAYS MISS PERCY. I can’t help it, it just feels so weird reading a Rick Riordan book that’s not told by his perspective. I have also heard that not everyone likes this particular book, which I wish would give me the incentive to push through it, but I can’t bring myself to! Maybe I’ll try the audiobook next.

FANGIRL by Rainbow Rowell

16068905The funny thing about this book, is that I genuinely thought I finished reading this? 😂 Turns out I got to like page 300 and put the book down? For absolutely no reason? I would definitely like to finish it one day, because I’m super hyped to read Carry On, but I still don’t think it’s happening anytime soon. But there’s a sequel for Carry On coming out which is super cool and exciting!

THE SECRET HISTORY by Donna Tartt 51nlinky5al

I’m pretty sure I mentioned this book in my other blog post, Books I Must Read in 2018, and I haven’t gotten to it quite yet. To be totally honest, I have no clue what this book is about but I see it everywhere on bookstagram. I tried reading the synopsis but I still don’t know what I’m getting into with this one. If someone can enlighten me that would be fantastic!

THE ROSE & THE DAGGER by Renee Ahdieh

23308084I really hate myself for not finishing this one. I was immensely obsessed with the first book, The Wrath and the Dawn, and while I was reading the sequel, it didn’t quite come up to par with the first book. I thought it was mainly due to an oncoming reading slump for me, but I ended up putting it down and I still haven’t picked it up! 😓 I have to get to it soon though since I hear something crazy happens in the end and I don’t want to be spoiled!

THE BONE SEASON by Samantha Shannon 51d7ocdx6vl-_sx325_bo1204203200_

I’ve owned this book for so long and I can’t believe I still haven’t gotten around to it! I tend to forget that I actually have to read this one…I just get caught up with all these other new releases instead of starting a new series! I do hear really amazing things about her books, and I’m hoping it’s one that gets better with each installment! (Also, just found out that there are 7 expected books in this series! Holy smokes!)

CRESS by Marissa Meyer

cress-book-coverYou can bash me all you like for this one. I’m SO mad at myself for not reading this, especially since I know this is a common favorite for a lot of you since it follows the perspectives of Cress and Thorne! I really loved those two characters individually in Cinder and Scarlet, but I thought that if I put off reading Cress, I wouldn’t be too upset that it’s over. Clearly I had great logic because I still haven’t read it 3 years later and I forgot almost everything that happened. 🤦‍♀️

Those are the 6 books that have been on my TBR for an extremely long time! I hope this will encourage me to pick them up, especially The Bone Season since I’ve had my eye on it recently!

Let me know some books that have been on your TBRs for quite some time!

Also I promise I’ll be back to posting reviews very soon! This hectic month is finally coming to a close!
