My Review:
I think I need a HUGE round of applause for this one because W O W I finally did it. After years, (literally YEARS) of dragging out this series and saying that I’ll get to it later, I finally finished it.

And surprisingly it didn’t take me as long as I thought it would?

Regardless of my absolute joy of finally completing this series, I did have a few problems with this finale. Keep in mind, this isn’t technically the end for the characters because Clary and Jace are still very prevalent in Lady Midnight, being the reason as to why some storylines aren’t completely wrapped up.

To be honest, I had some trouble reading the first half of the book, which was literally like 350 pages 😂 It was really the second half that brought up my rating a lot, because everything was finally happening. It makes sense as to why the book is so long, because there are so many characters and so many separate storylines that Cassie has to fully develop.

Unsurprisingly, I did shed a few tears (okay A LOT) during the final 100 pages because I wasn’t ready to say goodbye to these characters! It didn’t hit me until then that I’ve been reading these books since I first started to get into young adult literature. Plus one characters fate completely shattered my heart and I’m still not over it.

All in all, I had an amazing time reading this series, I absolutely adored reading Jace and Clary’s relationship throughout the book and seeing them grow individually into great people, (despite some weird plots Cassie threw in here and there…)

It’s a little bittersweet, but I’m not too upset because I cannot wait to read more about Emma and Julian who completely won my heart over in this book. I already know their relationship is going to be so complicated and angsty, and I can’t wait.
