Happy new year! I know you will be seeing a bunch of these posts in the next few weeks/days, but we gotta seize the opportunity! I mean all of us will be introduced to awesome books as well as being able to discuss our common favorites! I love reading these types of posts so much, my TBR list keeps getting longer!

The Hating Game by Sally Thorne

25883848

This is definitely in my top favorites of the year, I cannot get over how much I love this book! From beginning to end I couldn’t stop gushing over these two characters and how much I love both of them. It’s the perfect cutesy romance book and probably one of my favorite enemies to lovers book!

Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor

I really need to do myself a favor and read all of Laini Taylor’s books because her writing is GORGEOUS. Like seriously, it’s so poetic and beautiful that I completely fell into this story. Everything about this story, the worldbuilding, the characters, it’s all beautifully crafted.

The Cruel Prince by Holly Black

This is one of my guilty pleasure reads that I couldn’t help but absolutely love. It’s just so good, the characters (literally every single one of them) are so dark and imperfect that makes it so unique from other books. Holly Black does not shy away from much darker scenes that are typically avoided in YA, so I do caution you if you haven’t picked this one up yet!

The City of Brass by S.A Chakraborty

32718027

This one shouldn’t be a surprise since I haven’t shut up about this book 😂 but seriously, IT’S AMAZING! It’s truly the best high fantasy book I’ve ever read. The plot is so rich and everything about the book is so interesting, I’m obsessed. AND, the sequel comes out later this month! So this is the perfect time to read it!

And, my absolute favorite read of 2018…

CIRCE by Madeline Miller

9781408890080

It’s been months since I’ve read this book and I still can’t get over how amazing it is. If your thinking of reading this (which you definitely should!) it should be read when you’re in the mood to read it! It’s a character driven book and I feel that it has the best impact when you’re in the mood for a book like that! And if you’re into greek mythology, this book is a MUST!

Thank you so much for reading! Let me know your favorite books of 2018, and if we have any that are the same!
