November TBR [2018]

Hello everyone! *hides in shame.*

I guess I underestimated how much Uni would take over my life the past couple of weeks, but midterms are FINALLY over so I’m back!

I actually did manage to read some books in October, but I think I’ll do like a fall wrap-up sometime soon, instead of making monthly ones!

Also, I’m going to have to devote quite some time later today to catch up on all my fellow bloggers posts!

LORD OF SHADOWS BY CASSANDRA CLARE

Yes! I did manage to finish Lady Midnight last month (spoiler alert: I loved it). So of course I’m going to dive straight into the sequel to try to finish it before QOOAAD comes out.

GHOSTS OF THE SHADOW MARKET BY CASSANDRA CLARE

To be fully caught up for the release of QOOAAD, I have 8 more novellas to read. Hopefully I can do it? I’m 75% sure I can only read these after Lord of Shadows for spoiler reasons, but that’s like another 800 page book since each short story is 100 pages long….💀

99 PERCENT MINE BY SALLY THORNE

I might have screamed really loudly when I got approved for an eARC for Sally Thorne’s latest release—the author who wrote the best NA book of all time, The Hating Game. It sounds SO CUTE and I know that I will be in love with it just as much as I am with THG.

So this probably looks like the shortest TBR pile ever, but I promise there’s like 10 books on here because of all Cassie Clare short stories. I HAVE FAITH IN MYSELF TO FINISH HER BOOKS!

Thanks for being patient with my absences!

October TBR! [2018]

Hello everyone! I know it’s been a while since my last post….not even going to lie, I feel like I forgot how to write these! But over the past few weeks, I’ve really had to prioritize school over all my other hobbies since it was starting to get insanely stressful!

But I’m back for now, thankfully things have calmed down a bit so I’ll definitely be pre-writing some posts in my drafts in case this happens again!

Unfortunately I barely got a chance to read in September….school really sucks, but I’m hoping to squeeze a few during the Thanksgiving break!

Now onto the TBR!

MY FAVORITE HALF-NIGHT STAND BY CHRISTINA LAUREN
38357345

Fun fact, the only book that I did manage to read in September was written by Christina Lauren, which was Josh and Hazel’s Guide to Not Dating! It was such a cute and adorable read that I kinda fell down a spree of adding every Christina Lauren book to my shopping cart…and I somehow managed to get an e-arc of one of her upcoming books! From the snippets I’ve read so far, two words…ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE. Continue reading “October TBR! [2018]”

September TBR! [2018]

Hello everyone! Not even going to lie, I thought I had already written and posted this…when I actually hadn’t? My mind is all caught up with stress over school so bare with me, even though this post is a little late!

As always, I’ll be sharing the books that I’m planning to read in September! The first three books on this list are absolute musts!

TALES FROM THE SHADOWHUNTER ACADEMY by Cassandra Clare
811x6vyf64l

Believe it or not, I’m pleased to say that I’m almost finished this one! I picked it up immediately after that ending of COHF, and I can proudly say I am not disappointed! (I think I may even be enjoying it even more than City of Heavenly Fire…)

August TBR! [2018]

Hello everyone! I’m so sorry about my absence from blogging/interacting with your posts! I went on a road trip last week and I had zero time to even open my laptop! 😳

It was definitely a long one, 14 hours of driving does not sound fun, but I did manage to power through some audiobooks! I haven’t been listening to audiobooks nearly as much as I used to, so it was nice to catch up on some!

I still wanted to share with you guys the books I’m planning to read throughout the rest of August, so without further ado…

WAKING GODS by Sylvain Neuvel

I’m finally continuing on with this series! I honestly have no clue what took me so long to actually consider reading the sequel, but I’m finally doing it! It’s one of the books I  listened to during the drive and I’m sure I’ll be able to finish it! This book is the sequel to Sleeping Giants, a science-fiction novel in which a group of scientists try to piece together the mystery and origin of a giant metal hand.

July TBR! [2018]

Hello everyone! I’m pretty excited about this months TBR since I finally have time to read without any interruptions! No school or exams,  just time to read and watch Brooklyn Nine-Nine! Sounds like a pretty legit summer to me. 😂

TO KILL A KINGDOM by Alexandra Christo

515kdeym7xl-_sx331_bo1204203200_

I’m a little too excited for this one especially since everyone in the blogging community has been telling me how awesome this book is! It’s a standalone book loosely based on The Little Mermaid, and I think it’ll be a great summer read! Now I’m just waiting for it to arrive in the mail!

June TBR! [2018]

Hi guys! Since I have loaaads of finals this month, I thought it would be fair for me to make a significantly smaller TBR than I usually do. Just to keep my stress at bay A LITTLE BIT. 😂

Exams also explain the reason as to why I’ve been more inactive lately…it’s a lot harder to keep up with all your wonderful blog posts on top of all the studying I’ve been doing, so I apologize! I try to keep up the best I can!

A Gathering of Shadows by V.E Schwab
A Gathering of Shadows Final

I’m so happy this finally came in the mail! I have to read it before I forget what happened in the first book, but I can definitely say for sure that I’m loving Victoria’s writing style and the worlds she creates! I’m also looking into picking up Vicious…especially since there’s news of her sequel to it!

P.S. I Like You by Kasie West

25486998

Believe it or not, I’ve been in a contemporary mood lately! (which rarely happens) but I have to take advantage of it while I can! The Hating Game by Sally Thorne is definitely the cause for it, but I can’t complain! I’ve been reading a little too much fantasy lately, and I feel like it’s been hard for me to find a fantasy book that doesn’t feel like it’s been done before.

Crazy Rich Asians by Kevin Kwan

I’m SO excited to read this! I’ve been hearing amazing things before, but after watching the movie trailer for it, it just made me 110% more stoked to finally dive into the hype! It just sounds like a fun read to fly through, and that really is something I need this month!

That’s all the books I’m going to attempt to read in June, and I know it’s a crazy small number to some of you, but it’ll feel like an accomplishment to me this month! 😂

Let me know what books you’re planning to read in June, or some that you’ve already finished!

May TBR! 🌸 [2018]

Hello everyone! During the month of May, I know I’ll be a teeensy bit busy with schoolwork, so I probably won’t read a majority of these books on the TBR, but a girl can dream. 😂

Hero at the Fall
By: Alwyn Hamilton 6187iagi2bl-_sx323_bo1204203200_

Remember last month when I said this was a PRIORITY read for me? Yeah, still didn’t get to it because I suck. However, I did end up actually rereading the first two books, (Rebel of the Sands & Traitor to the Throne) so this is definitely definitely definitely my next read.

A Court of Frost and Starlight
By: Sarah J. Maas acofas-us

I do have a love/hate relationship with Sarah J. Maas and her books, (which is why it’s taking me AGES to finish the Throne of Glass series) but I do think I’ll pick this one up this month, especially since the novella is SO TINY. But I’m not as excited for these books as I used to be? IDK.

A Gathering of Shadows
By: V.E. Schwab A Gathering of Shadows Final

I still have to actually go out and buy this book, so it’s still unsure if I’ll actually get to it this month, but I do have to read it quickly before I forget everything that happened in book one! I try to avoid rereading books if I can help it! 😂

Gemina
By: Jay Kristoff and Amie Kauffman 9781780749815_1

WOW I’m actually going to attempt to finish this one! I’ve been reading it on and off for literally the past year and a half, but for some weird reason I’m not enjoying it as much as Illuminae! 😕 Maybe it’s because of the new characters or the newish setting…but I just gotta push through since I hear Obsidio is fantastic! I’m currently on page 379/663.

That’s all the books I’m planning to read…not too ambitious, but I’ll definitely try to knock a few of these out!

Let me know in the comments what books you are planning to read, as well as if you’ve read any of the ones I mentioned!

Thanks for reading!

April TBR! 🌸 [2018]

Hello everyone! I’m back at it with setting unreasonable reading goals for myself!

Since I pleasantly surprised myself by reading ONE extra book than I normally do last month (!!! wow what an accomplishment !!!) I decided to make April’s TBR EVEN LONGER.

In other words, I’ll only be reading four of these lol.

Hero at the Fall
By: Alwyn Hamilton 6187iagi2bl-_sx323_bo1204203200_

So I’m currently writing this in the hopes that it actually comes in the mail 😂 I ordered it from Book Depository a month ago and it still hasn’t come which makes me really sad SINCE I NEED TO KNOW HOW THIS BOOK ENDS! But yes, I definitely want to knock this one off in April!

Daughter of Smoke and Bone
By: Laini Taylor dosab_hbfront

I actually already started reading this! I originally started reading this before I read Circe, but you know how it goes for mood readers, and I ended up switching over to read Circe first (which I’m obsessed with). I’m liking it so far, and I love how different Laini Taylor’s books are from other YA books!

The Upside of Unrequited
By: Becky Albertalli 30653853

After watching the AMAZING movie Love, Simon, I realized how much I miss reading contemporary books and I couldn’t believe it when I saw that I have not read any contemporary this whole year. So I thought another book of Becky Albertalli’s is fitting, especially since Leah on the Offbeat is coming out later this month!

City of Heavenly Fire
By: Cassandra Clare 8755785

I’m a little iffy on this one, especially since it takes a massive space on my bookshelf, but I’m really in the Shadowhunter mood lately, and I don’t want to hold back on this series any longer! So it’ll maybe (hopefully) be a book that I will read in the beginning of April!

Hunting Prince Dracula
By: Kerri Maniscalco 33784373

Another book I ordered from Book Depository that’s taking an unreasonable amount of time to reach me 😂 I’m hoping it’ll come within this first week of April, so I can read it as soon as possible. I really loved the first book Stalking Jack the Ripper and I can’t believe its taken me this long to read the sequel!

Of course I hope to get to all of these books this month, but the main ones I am focusing on reading are Hero at the Fall and City of Heavenly Fire! If I get those two books completed, I’ll be a very happy girl! 😝

Let me know if any of these books are on your April TBR as well, and which books you plan to read this month!

Thanks for reading!

March TBR! [2018]

Hello! I decided to post my March TBR, especially since I’m planning to (hopefully) knock off a couple of books tomorrow!

I’ve been wanting to do a 24 hour read-a-thon for so long after watching Zoe Herdt’s vlogs all the time, but never have the chance to participate on the same day!

And I’m actually free tomorrow (Thursday March 1) so I decided it would be a perfect time to do one by myself! Essentially, it’ll be following all the same rules as any other 24 readathon, and I’ll be posting a blog post of my wrap up!

Now, onto my March TBR!
