Hello! It’s been quite some time since I last did a tag, (probably over 4 months! 😳) and I thought it would be fun to do another one!
I am definitely a person who always leans towards books with aesthetically pleasing covers, no matter the case. Of course, the synopsis needs to be convincing for me to pick it up as well, but it’s rare for me to grab a book in which I don’t like the cover…. unless I’m positive I’ll enjoy it. A habit I need to break, yes, but I’m getting there!
- Thank the lovely person who tagged you, spread the love!
- Mention Tiana @ The Book Raven as the creator of this book tag!
- Use the original tag image in your post. (However, feel free to add whatever other graphics your heart desires!)
- At least tag 1 fellow blogger for this tag.
- List the rules
“No Ideas But in Things” A book cover that perfectly expresses the novel inside it
Scythe by Neal Shusterman. I mean I’m pretty sure this one fits in this category…? The book is about individuals chosen in society to kill off a percentage of the population in an un-biased way…and they wear cloaks, so I would say the cover works as a decent representation!
“Sugary Sweet” A cute cover that is so fluffy you want to give it a hug
Granted, this book isn’t out yet, but I already know that I’m going to love it! 99 Percent Mine by Sally Thorne has the cutest cover ever! And with how much I loved her previous book, I’ll be going into this one with some high expectations!
“The Simple Aesthetic” A book cover that stuns with the most minimalistic of design
I have to go with Sleeping Giants by Sylvain Neuvel for this one. There’s something about the absolute simple design of this book that always captures my attention! You just know that there will be an amazing sci-fi story waiting inside!
“Cover Envy” A book cover you wish you had on your shelves, but don’t yet
This edition of Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor has total heart eyes from me. In my rush to read this book, I accidentally ordered the other edition (which is still pretty don’t mind me) but this one is EVEN NICER. Maybe one day I’ll cave and pick this one up!
“Traveling Abroad” A book cover featuring a country outside of your own
A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab is a world that I can’t get over. It’s set in 4 parallel Londons, and the whole premise of the book is so interesting that I can talk about it for ages! Plus the cover is absolutely gorgeous!
“The Color Wheel” A cover that showcases one of your favorite colors
Autoboyography by Christina Lauren. I love sunset colors, and the blue that they used in this cover is to die for!
“Switching Gears” A cover change you absolutely adore
Aside from the yellow font, I think the new covers of all Cassandra Clare books are so pretty! Especially the spines, they would look so gorgeous on your shelf!
“And the Winner is…” Which book cover mentioned above is your favorite?
I’d have to say either 99 Percent Mine or Autoboyography! I love all those bright colors that both covers display and the look of them is definitely a type of book cover I always gravitate towards!
That’s all for this tag, I had so much fun doing this and it was nice to fawn over all the beautiful book covers I always admire!
Thank you so much for reading!
